Togetherness In Saving Your Marriage

The single most important factor in saving your marriage is togetherness. Married couples need to decide to pull together in all things and through all things.

The first step on the road to togetherness is to develop a sincere interest in the activities and work each other do. This togetherness is demonstrated by supporting each other and understanding what each other do.

Showing sincere interest goes beyond work and even into hobbies and other interest. If you develop this correctly you will never have trouble buying that perfect gift again. You want even ask someone else to buy the gifts for you because no one will know what the perfect gift would be more than you.

I would highly suggest the interest in hobbies and activities of each partner go beyond a mere knowledge of the subject matter but should go to the next level and join the activity with your partner even if it is just one time.  Who knows you may end up really enjoying the activity.  If not you are a hero in your partner’s eyes for doing it just the one time.

Several years ago my husband, who loves the outdoors and is an avid hunter and fisherman, asked me to go deer hunting with him.

I did and guess what I loved it.  We go every year together and I actually have the biggest trophy on the wall.  He doesn’t even mind my trophy he is just glad I enjoy doing something that means so much to him.

On the other hand, I have always loved Chinese food and my husband always said he didn’t, so we never had Chinese food together.  One day he surprised me for our anniversary and took me out to eat Chinese food.  Guess what happened! He loves Chinese food and we enjoy it out once a week.

When you go out of your way to have togetherness you just might be surprised what you will find all the while saving your marriage.
