Getting Your Ex Back – The Simple Way

Everyone has been dumped at one point or another in their life. Most of the time, getting the ex back seems like a daunting task after we have been hurt, already been vulnerable, and we make the choice to just move on.

The first thing you need to do is to figure out why the breakup happened. Was it a single event blown out of proportion? Was it a series of events that compounded? Was it something very serious, like cheating?

The reason you need to know this is so you can deal with it down the road.

Step two: make sure you are not needy. This will only serve to push your ex further away. Save the emails, late night phone calls, texts, Facebook entries. Just do not do it. Trust me.

Step three: do not try and make your ex jealous.

It will only backfire. This can be misinterpreted so many ways, and it will not be fair to person you are using.

Step four: set up a meeting to talk about with your ex (provided, of course, that you have followed the other steps). The trick is to not go in unprepared, like most would. That will backfire in a huge way.

You need to know what to say and how to say it. You need to be prepared to deal with the issues that caused you to break up in the first place. And you need to know why you want to get back together with your ex- just saying that you are in love with them is not a reason.

Getting the ex back does not have to be rocket science. It takes a little discipline, a little preparation, AND a plan. If you have done those things and you do not get back together, then it was not meant to be.
